The Benefits of Dental Implants
Replacing missing or nonrestorable teeth is often essential to maintaining your oral function and physical appearance. At ACE Dental of Belton, our general dentists proudly offer dental implants as a long-term option to address tooth loss, whether you need to replace one or all of your teeth. Dental implants are titanium posts that are inserted into the jaw to act as tooth roots. We then attach lifelike crowns, bridges, or dentures to these implants to serve as the visible portions of missing teeth. Like real teeth, implants are supported by the jawbone and offer increased stability, biting power, and other oral health advantages following tooth loss. If you have missing teeth or need a tooth extracted, we welcome you to explore the option of dental implants. Our Belton, TX practice offers full-service implant dentistry solutions in one convenient location.

Who Is a Candidate for Dental Implants?
Dental implants offer an alternative to traditional and removable tooth replacements. This longer-term option can replace one tooth, several teeth, or a full arch of missing teeth by providing support for an implant crown, bridge, or denture. Dental implants need healthy bone tissue for stability, so ideal candidates should have a sufficient amount of bone in their jaw. Implants may not be suited for patients with gum disease, certain other health problems, or those who use tobacco. During your consultation at ACE Dental of Belton, our dentists can examine your mouth and help you decide whether implants are right for you. For some patients, we may first need to perform a bone graft or extract damaged teeth to prepare the jaw for implants.
What Is the Treatment Process?
Our cutting-edge practice uses 3D cone beam scans to increase our precision throughout the implant process. When you arrive for implant surgery, we'll numb the implant sites and can provide sedation dentistry for enhanced comfort if needed. One of our dentists will then make an incision in your gums and will position the titanium posts in your jawbone. Over the next few months, those posts will fuse to your jaw. Once your implants are well-integrated and stable, we'll take digital impressions of your mouth using iTero technology and send these images to a dental lab that will make your lifelike implant denture, bridge, or crown. When that arrives at our office, you'll come back in, and we'll firmly attach your replacement teeth to the implant posts and adjust them as needed for an even, comfortable bite.
After Dental Implant Placement
Following implant surgery, you may experience temporary tenderness, bruising, or swelling in your jaw. Cold packs and over-the-counter pain relievers can ease your discomfort as you recover. We'll talk with you about what to expect after your visit. It's very important that you properly care for your mouth as it heals, in the same manner as real teeth, with daily flossing and brushing. When you visit ACE Dental of Belton for routine dental cleanings, we'll use specialized instruments on your implants and evaluate the tissue supporting your tooth replacements.
Are Implants Covered by Insurance?
Some dental insurance policies may partially cover a dental implant procedure. To make your treatment as affordable as possible, we'll review your policy and work to maximize coverage on your behalf. ACE Dental of Belton accepts several convenient payment options, including medical financing, for any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur. We want you to enjoy life after tooth loss and can help you select the right option for your budget and needs.
